Cooler Fete

These are the most popular and numerous of all parties you will see this vacation. Cooler Fetes tend to be very enjoyable, although it can also heavily depend on the quality of the DJ (say wa, nuh everybody could be a Private Ryan). But when de music jus not sweetin’ yuh the way yuh want it to, you could always dip in yuh cooler and pour yuhself a drink, and before yuh know it you jammin’ a town ting to Calvin Harris. Disclaimer: if yuh carryin’ yuh own cooler, we advise yuh watch out for all the Cooler Carlas out there lookin to climb on it and dutty it up.

Band Launch

Band launches are what we like to call the local Victoria Secret’s fashion shows, and no, we not talkin about all the Bareback Barrys who tend to show up in the crowd. Similar to actual VS shows, they are quite the pretty penny, but since the price is usually accompanied with free jinks and a chance to see all de 7+ models strut and look hot on ‘de stage, you tend to soon forget the $600 gap in yuh wallet.

Jouvert Parties

Part of what makes Trini carnival is our dutty mas, and since we are a people who tend to start countin’ down for the next Carnival as soon as one dun, what’s better than a early taste of carnival? With paint, powder and water, not only are you in for a messy time, but a damn good one too! P.S.: Hair nets and plastic bags are usually not included in the packages, so if yuh find yuh spend too much money on yuh hair to get it dutty, walk with yuh own!

Boat Cruise

With an average of 3-4 hours on the sea, (minus the 2 hours it take to board), this gives you limited time…so the only solution here is to maximize yuh vybz! Whether you bring yuh cooler, takin’ drinks from man, or jus’ plain old having a time on yuh own, boat cruises givin’ yuh value for yuh money. Just make sure you, or yuh padnas stable enough and one doh decide to go diving for dey purse.

Concerts

These come along every once in a while when those “as seen on TV” artistes decide to come to the land of oil and music. Good ting, cus these usually take a bite out of yuh fetein budget too! But, usually it’s worth it…unless it’s Rihanna back in her “Um-buh-rella” days.

Tobago Parties

There’s Tobago, which is known for its weekend island getaways, and then there’s BAGO. When the petite island transforms into the ultimate PUMP weekend. Bago pumps are always vybz, throw in a No man’s Land, slight Store Bay, and end it with a fresh box of Crab & Dumpling…and you’ve got yourself a weekend to remember.

Pool Parties

Ladies, I know yuh want an opportunity to wear those strings yuh does post up on the ‘Grams and get yuh 500 likes on. So…here is yuh chance! Fellas, doh worry, no matter how yuh prefer your groceries, there will be an unlimited supply of every kind at dese parties. So doh be fraid to jam, especially Lucy wit she sweet bam bam.

Beach Parties

These can be a hit or miss, especially if sand is not yuh ting. But when they are a hit, they are a HIT. Though it’s a little on the pricey side, beach parties are the perfect mixture of nice vybz with some nice breeze and yuh fancy wine glass altogether. Jus doh dig a horrors if you carry a beach back in your car with you.

Pop Up Parties

These, while rare, tie in well with our whole “anyting is anyting” mindset. Spontaneous and filled with great drinks and people, pop up parties never seem to disappoint. But, sometimes is a sours if yuh livin’ Grande and party pop up in Westmoorings.

Club

This is one place you know will have gyal in excess, mostly because dey FREE. However, especially when there is only one or two hotspots, the club can get extra ram, and extra sweaty. So make sure when yuh lookin’ to make a move on Thursdays and Saturdays….besides lookin’ extra crips, bring yuh towel, and slab on a lil more Ole Spice and Secret.
