Who is she?

Adrienne Bailon is most- (not) well known for her role in Disney’s movie “The Cheetah Girls”, and for dating Rob Kardashian at some time.

Why is she relevant?

She’s co-hosting a new talk show with Tamar Braxton and others called “The Real”. On yesterday’s show it was decided that it’s time for Karrueche Tran’s friends to step in and have an intervention about her relationship with Chris.

So apparently, CB got word of the show and felt the need to respond.

So… what did they actually say?

When will he learn?

Never. Well. We thought he was getting better judging from an interview he did a few days ago at Hot 97.1’s “Ebro in the Morning” talk show. Where he showed promising signs of growth and maturity. Seems like it was just a hoax.

Every time the sports seasons roll around, we see the all-familiar facebook and twitter rants about “look how everyone’s new fave team is gonna be *insert winning team* now. smh. #wagonists”

Yea, yea.. sure, I just wanna be up in all d sauce, even when I don’t really know the history of WHATEVER we might be talking about. My question to YOU is, what’s wrong if I decide I’m gonna jump on a bandwagon and support something new? Where are the rules that say that I have to support ONE team forever and ever till thy kingdom come? …or where are the guidelines that tell me when I’m allowed to change my views on something? Or is that you just can’t? Once you pick, you can’t go back on it… ever? What if I like to change my mind about things?

I get that you have been a supporter for 100 years and you’re finally proud that your team brought you some glory when everyone was saying that they’d never make it to finals… and that’s AWESOME. What I’d like to know is this: how does it affect you when someone else started backing that team at the beginning of this season?

I bet it makes you feel like they haven’t done anything as a supporter to deserve that title, and you’re mad because you been there for your team throughout, ent? And you’ve done so much for your team in the past years… ent? And you used to live in Madrid too… ent? lol… OKAY. Get vex nah, we will never run outta wagonists, especially in our country… you’re gonna just have to stay vex and rant about it time and time again… Meanwhile, I’ll be here like… “Suarez is scoring plenty goals.. Liverpool is my team this yearrr.” and there won’t be anything you “die-hard” footballists or Liverpoolians.. (or whatever you call them) can do to stop me! HA.

Let’s face it. Being a wagonist is way more fun and fulfilling than being a die-hard supporter. Who wants a team that loses anyway? Just to say in the next 7 years that you were supporting them even when they were losing? Bleh. Totally not worth it. And we not just talking about sports, we taking any and everything! so watch out!! The bandwagonists win. Every time.

Yeah, you saw right… The “blackface” – Caucasian Americans painting their faces black as a costume. I’m sorry, but why is this a “cool thing to do”? OK, we get it… People are always looking at trying something new for Halloween, you want to be convincing and you want to go all out on your costume this year… Errr. NO, we DON’T get it!

‘The “blackface”‘ trend originated with blackface minstrel in the 1820′s, where white male performers would blacken their faces and wear old, dirty clothes as a part of their performance. They would make jokes about the stereotypes about African-Americans. Some of the main characters in these performances were, the educated free black man – who pronounced everything incorrectly and Mammy, a fat, faithful female slave who was played by someone who obviously looked like a man.

Now the blackface is back! For some reason it seems like the new popular thing to do among white Americans, including ‘celeb’ Julianne Hough, who went out for Halloween as character known as Crazy-Eyes from the new tv series “Orange is the new Black” to attend a party last Friday. Hough felt the need to paint her face with a darker shade of foundation, I suppose she wanted to get more in character? Some might say that in Hough’s case it isn’t really so bad. If the girl wanted to depict a black character from a show I don’t see what’s so wrong about that? Fair enough. But Then again, taking into consideration the history of the blackface? … Ummm Yea!

Worst of all people are dressing as Trayvon and Zimmerman

The latest ‘blackface’ sighting was these two white girls who painted their faces brown, deciding to go to Halloween as black people. Before heading out one of the girls thought it would be cool to tweet a pic captioned, “@dobebieber: me and @kinkystyles are niggers this Halloween”.  The tweet began to trend when re-tweeted by Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson. Of course, she would get real heat for that kinda tweet, but it seems like she didn’t care, as she responded to people’s distaste by tweeting things like “stop worrying about my Halloween costume and worry about finding your dad” …excuse? Look, lemme not even…

And as with any insanely disgusting trend to hit social media, it tends to spread faster than Aunty Kams can down a bottle of white oak. As much as I hoped that this wouldn’t happen, the blackface has made its way to Trinidad. How do people think this is a good idea?

Dear America (and, Trinidad too!),
I’m not sure why anyone would have to tell you this, but “blackfacing” is not cool. It’s not funny and never was. Don’t do it. It has to go! The fact that this is still a thing in 2013 is not only sad, but kinda pathetic.

Unless you’ve been living in a pineapple under the sea, you KNOW that our most popular Disney starlet-gone-bad Miley Cyrus, is on a downward spiral to jah knows where. At first it was cute – twerking in a onesie… then came the “We can’t stop” video and her notorious VMAs performance, followed by the latest travesty that is “Wrecking Ball” video. I can’t say I’m a fan, but at the same time, it’s really not DAT serious. Were all those Miley memes necessary? Memes of Miley sitting on the eiffel tower and statue of liberty and riding a dolphin in her wrecking ball “outfit” …errr, I mean boots? A small ease up is definitely needed, it’s a bit much.

(Now allyuh, I hadda admit… I laughed eh. From d VMAs performance to d wrecking ball memes, I couldn’t help it really, but waaayz people could overdo!)

First off, something I have been wondering about for a while now, what exactly is this insane obsession with celebrities and their lifestyle? I mean, seriously, this can’t be the first time you’ve seen a girl on a stage getting on like they the hottest thing out, but all everyone else seeing is a hot mess. You feel bad (for them), but at the same time, you just rock back, smiling to yourself wishing you were crazy enough to go out there and do “yuh ting” regardless of what other people have to say (or is that just me, and how I feel? hmm..*awkward*). One thing is for sure, that person still has your attention, and this is exactly what Miley and her PR team has accomplished.

But yea, can someone tell me why we care so much? What does Miley “twerkin” has to do with the price of crix?… and yesss, I have to put “twerking” in quotations because, well… what she attempts to do is NOT twerking!

C’mon guys, it’s obvious that the girl is going through a lil sumn, I mean, with her boo leaving her and all, the least we could do is be a lil sympathetic?No? Yes, some parts (or maybe a lot) of the performance was totally uncalled for, but if it’s the first time something outlandish, crazy and socially unsettling happened at the VMAs buy me slippers and call me Dorothy.

Fuss people over-excited, Miley “twerking” has become INTERNATIONAL NEWS? She even got “twerking” into the Oxford Dictionary… although, I’m kinda curious about the definition they came up with.

As cliché as it may sound, in every situation there’s a lesson to be learnt and something we can take away from it. In this case, maybe all Miley is REALLY doing is trying to inspire us to do whatever makes you happy and just forget everybody else yes! #yolo… ent?
