Know Yuhself

So as social media has been informing us all (because apparently no one reads the blasted paper anymore!) there seems to be a trend of self-UNawareness plaguing us. Patient zero (publicly at least) ungraciously took the form of Mr. Caitlyn Transjenner, empowering confused males everywhere to finally let there inner female names fly! Then came along Ms. Rachel Dolezal who decided to put her own spin on her identity crisis with her Transracial struggle. So, naturally, here comes our SCORCHin’ opinion!

Just think, if only Saucypow had taken that long distance running career seriously and made a ‘lil olympics, he could have been just as confused and almost as famous. That aside though, Mr. Transjenner shares a commonality with another confused soul. The former leader of the NAACP (Never heard of it? Doh dig a horrors, it’s just the National Association for the Advancement of Coloured People. Thanks Google!), and its former president, Rachel Dolezal, is Transracial.

What we mean to say is that she’s really white, but deep, deep, deep, deep, deep, down inside, behind her blue eyes and blond hair and pale skin, Rachel justs want to be Sharkeisha. Or Michelle Obama, whichever one. She recently caused a heap of confusion, although she herself seems to be quite certain, as she recently stated, “Wayyyyyy up, I feel Black.” Caitlyn, on the other hand, has been quoted saying, “I just want tiddies, gurlll.”

These two people are breaking what society tells them they should be, in order to be what they feel most comfortable as. However, while Caitlyn Transjenner may have been born a woman trapped inside a man’s body, was Rachel Dolezal really born black inside a white person’s body? Or is this just a case of Malibu’s Most Wanted meets Civil Rights Activist?

However, the exploitation of Black culture for your own advancment is a seriously shady, dark, dim, shadowy, and dare I say, black thing to do. Ah mean, Rachel Dolezal, a former student of the Mecca of Black Education: the all n’ mighty Howard University, sued that institution for racial discrimination against her for refusing to let her lecture there because she was a white woman (Big ups to Google again). But now she’s black, the former president of the NAACP and has done some commendable stuff in her time in charge. So doh beat up.

Caitlyn Tansjenner, though, claims to have believed to be a gyal all his life, and finaly feels happy now in his righteous form. But at least he was never the leader of a men’s rights group or an antifeminism group. Overall, the importance placed on race and gender orientation shows that in 2015 people are still judged not for what they do, but on what their outer identity says about them. Tsk, tsk.
